In the south of France, within the Languedoc and the Pyrenees, in the heart of "Cathar_ country", come and find peace, tranquility at Suzette's house in Puivert (Aude).
The house and its surroundings
Puivert is situated on a plain, which used to be a huge lake until the 13th century. This plain is surraounded by thickly wooded montains in the south and hills on the east where the castle stands.
At Suzette's you'll share the house with Suzette and her two cats called Marie and Bandit and her dog, cookie. She lives in the basement with accès to a private garden. You'll live on the first floor which is entirely independant with access to your own well shaded garden where you can rest, have meals...
The appartment has got two double bedrooms and one twin_bedded room,
a kitchen (equiped with a dish-washer, a good oven, a gas cooker, a kettle...), bathroom (with toilet, bath/shower and a washbasin), and a big dinning/living room.
The house is a quarter of an hour walk from the castlethe castle, two minutes from the museum of Quercob and five minutes from the lake . It is possible to swim in the lake, as it is watched by a life guard all summer. .
Commodities
There is a well_equipped little shop for day to day shopping, a baker, a post office, a great Afghan restaurant as a little café restaurant by the lake where you can get crepes, waffles, ice creams, hot and cool drinks, and simple meals... You'll find doctors, dentists and chemist in Chalabre which is 8 kilometers from Puivert.
